A Letter from Thailand

Daniella is away having a lovely holiday in Thailand at the moment. We were lucky enough to get a letter from her via our email. It was great to hear from her and see some pictures. We are looking forward to having her back at school so we can hear all about her adventures!

On Monday Mr Wyman came to teach us for the day. We had a great day and in the afternoon we made pine cone people.

Drums are a percussion instrument. A percussion instrument is anything you can hit. This includes a piano!

 

Quick Ten!

Today we started a new maths warm up routine called quick ten.  Everyday after basic facts students will answer ten quick questions that relate to number knowledge.  We are working through them one by one to get started and we will start to work on them independently and quickly as we get used to this routine.  Lots of maths fun!

Today the teachers introduced our new topic, The Shape of Things to Come, with an amazing rap performance!

We asked the children a question:  How does the Earth change?

They came up with some very interesting answers!

Traffic Lights

We are learning to play a new game for maths called Traffic Lights. We take turns being the leader and our group tries to guess the three digit number. We are learning lots about three digit numbers and place value!

Zooming Scooters

I can taste the silky air in my mouth.

I can see trees moving their branches.

I can hear the teacher talking.

I can smell the pollen in the flowers dancing in the wind.

I can feel the sticky rubber under my hands.

Zooming Scooters       

I can taste the silky air zooming into my mouth softy. 

I can see a fast zooming scooter which is purple. 

I can hear a zooming sound  coming from the weal wile I go to the white line . 

I fell a rubber when I hand touches the bars. 

I can  smell the flowers  beside me when I was scootering  along with the others in my class.
