@ Home Learning Expectations
The
@ Home Learning book will come home on the first day of the week (usually
Monday) and should be handed in on the last day (usually Friday). The @ Home Learning book should travel to
school in children’s book bags each day so we can add extra spelling words or
other notices during the week.
Reading
Read
something every night! It doesn’t matter
whether it is a school book, instructions for a game, library books or a
newspaper article as long as you read something and discuss it with someone at
home. When you talk about it think about
what the characters were thinking, what your favourite part was and why you
liked it, what do you think will happen next and what gave you that idea and
are there any similarities between the what you have read and your life. Write down what you read each night in the
table on the @ Home Learning sheet.
Spelling
Students
will have up to five spelling words a week to learn for a test at the end of
the week. These words will come from draft
writing, essential spelling lists, current topic word lists and other lists as
appropriate. We will be focusing on
learning these words at school as well during our reading programme.
Maths
Maths
work will come home as appropriate and will link to current classroom learning
including basic facts and number knowledge.
hope thay get 10/10
